Born and raised in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, I have a natural RP (Standard Southern English) accent and a vocal presence that will inform, entertain, or command attention, according to your needs.
With my PhD on emotional speech and MA on expressive intonation in English, I have the perfect background for more serious projects, such as e-learning, documentaries, and medical narration but am equally at home voicing audiobooks and children's books, commercials and creative work such as poetry narration, a personal favourite.
But, before any recording begins, comes a conversation, because understanding your project, your audience and your goals is at the heart of everything I do. I will ask you about where and how the recording will be used, and your picture of the intended listener. I will maintain the conversation up to and after delivery, to ensure you are delighted with my work.
My prowess in performance is matched by my technical expertise; working from my home studio, I create audio of the highest quality with ease, thanks to my background in phonetics. I use professional equipment and invest in ongoing coaching, both in group and individual sessions, to continually hone my craft.
